Bergamot Oil

Bergamot Essential Oil, Citrus Bergamia, possesses a lovely light, fresh, floral citrus aroma that is uplifting, rejuvenating, and balancing. It helps to alleviate fatigue due to stress. Bergamot Oil restores appetite, strengthens the immune system, reduces fever and is generally calming. It is known to help relieve skin irritations, and is helpful in the treatment of eczema, psoriasis, acne, wounds, ulcers and herpes. Bergamot Essential Oil helps to balance an oily complexion and helps repel insects. Use carefully in skin preparations as many citrus oils are known photosensitizers.

Bergamot Oil is what gives Early Grey Tea its distinctive flavor. If you like Orange Essential Oil or other citrus essential oils, you will likely love Bergamot. Its aroma can be described as a sophisticated Orange Oil that includes woody and floral notes. (Tangerine Essential Oil and Mandarin Essential Oil lovers should also love Bergamot). Bergamot Essential Oil blends nicely with neroli, cypress, juniper, geranium, rose, ylang ylang and other florals. It is a favorite of perfumers.

Note : Strong photosensitizer. Do not use on skin within 4 hours of exposure to the sun. Avoid during pregnancy. Not for use on babies or young children.
